Privacy Policy

Your privacy is a priority. Prism was designed to be private by default, putting you in full control of your data. This policy describes how Prism handles (or rather, does not handle) your data, in compliance with the LGPD (Brazilian Law No. 13.709/2018), the GDPR (EU 2016/679), and Apple's guidelines.

🔒 Your data is yours: your subscription information stays exclusively on your device. The free version shows ads via Google AdMob, which may collect limited device data for personalization. Prism Pro subscribers get an ad-free experience with no third-party collection.

What we do NOT collect

  • Subscription data: names, amounts, and dates stay only on your device.
  • Financial data: we have no access to what you spend or save.
  • Personal identification: we don't collect your name, email, or phone. There's no login.
  • Location: the app neither requests nor accesses your location.

Local storage

All your data is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad with SwiftData, Apple's native framework, protected by the system's encryption (Data Protection) and the app's sandbox. Prism does not sync your data with any server of ours.

Permissions requested

Notifications (optional)

Used only to remind you of upcoming renewals. They're processed locally, without external servers. They can be disabled at any time in Settings > Prism > Notifications.

Ad tracking, ATT (optional)

Prism may request tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency) so that Google AdMob can show more relevant ads. You can decline without any impact on functionality, the ads simply become less personalized.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version shows ads via Google AdMob (Google LLC). In this process, AdMob may collect and process:

  • Advertising Identifier (IDFA): only if you authorize it via ATT.
  • IP address: for approximate geolocation and regional ads.
  • Device information: model, system, and version.
  • Ad interaction: clicks and views.

⭐ Prism Pro: subscribers get an ad-free experience. No data is shared with Google AdMob for Pro users.

AdMob handles data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Manage your preferences in Google Ad Settings.

Data sharing

Prism does not share your subscription data with third parties. Your financial information stays exclusively on your device. Beyond Google AdMob (free version), the app does not contain analytics SDKs, behavior trackers, or social media integrations. The website, however, uses Google Analytics 4 with your consent, see Cookies and analytics on this website.

Cookies and analytics on this website

This section is about the website prism-website-three.vercel.app, not the app. The app still ships no analytics SDK. The website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages help people find Prism.

Nothing is stored before you accept. Google Analytics loads in denied mode (Google Consent Mode v2, analytics_storage: denied). If you reject, or simply never interact with the banner, no analytics cookie is ever created.

Which cookies exist

  • prism_consent (localStorage, necessary): stores your banner decision so we do not ask again on every visit. It does not identify you and never leaves your browser. Retention: until you clear your browser data.
  • _ga (analytics, optional): pseudonymous browser identifier used by Google Analytics to distinguish visitors. Retention: up to 2 years.
  • _ga_XM0BHLNF1F (analytics, optional): keeps the GA4 property session state. Retention: up to 2 years.

The site also uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which are cookieless: no cookies, no persistent identifiers and no visitor profiling. That is why they do not require consent.

Purpose

  • Measure page views, traffic source and preferred language.
  • Count App Store button clicks (the app_store_click event) to learn which pages actually lead to a download.
  • Decide what to write and what to fix. We do no advertising with this data: ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization stay permanently denied on this site.

Legal basis

Analytics cookies are used on the basis of your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, and under Article 7, IX of the Brazilian LGPD (Law 13.709/2018). Necessary storage (your own consent record) relies on legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Who processes the data

The controller is Matheus Abrahão Martins Alvares. Google LLC acts as processor for Google Analytics 4 data under the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Ads Data Processing Terms. Vercel Inc. acts as processor for hosting and for the cookieless analytics.

Retention

Cookies expire on the schedule listed above. Event-level data in Google Analytics 4 follows the retention configured on the property, currently the 14-month default, after which Google deletes it automatically.

International transfers

Google and Vercel process this data on servers outside the EEA and outside Brazil, including in the United States. Transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and on the safeguards of Article 33 of the LGPD. IP addresses are anonymised before storage (anonymize_ip).

How to withdraw consent

At any time, click “Cookie preferences” in the footer of any page on this site. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent: the decision takes effect immediately and Google Analytics returns to denied mode. You can also clear the cookies in your browser or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Your rights (LGPD & GDPR)

Since Prism doesn't collect or process personal data on servers, you exercise your rights directly in the app:

  • Access: all your data is always visible in the app.
  • Rectification: edit any subscription at any time.
  • Erasure: delete subscriptions in the app or uninstall it to erase everything.
  • Objection: we don't perform profiling or automated decision-making.

Minors

Prism does not intentionally collect data from minors. Since we don't collect any personal data, the app is safe for users of all ages.

International transfers

Prism does not transfer your subscription data. When you use the free version with ads, Google AdMob may process device data on servers in different countries, in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
